We kind of just picked a spot to eat and landed here on the way back to California. The food was great. Fries were crunchy and seasoned well. The tater tots were exceptional. The milkshakes were good. The burgers were big and flavorful, and the staff was welcoming. Wife ordered the chili cheese fries and she said it was different but good, and she’s notoriously picky. Overall just a good spot for burgers, tots and shakes. They do have a bathroom outside
Big Al’s has a special vibe. From the minute you step foot in the door, you can see from the memorabilia and the menu that this place has been around for a while, and it has its very own personality. Is it upscale? No. It is modern? Also no. But it speaks to who Big Al’s is in the community and what they serve to the people who come here. We live in Iowa, but when come to Ashland, we always pop in for lunch. This time, I had two ground beef tacos which came with refried beans and rice. My husband had a regular burger. Both items were very good, served hot by friendly people and we left full and enjoyed our time there. Again, we’ll be back when we’re in Oregon next year.
Extremely clean restaurant. Very friendly staff. Food was cooked fresh, came out hot, and was delicious. The portions were large, and the prices were reasonable. Clean bathrooms and lots of parking.
5 stars for an awesome place. Customer service was amazing. Very comfortable atmosphere. Clean. The food was amazing. Tator tots are really crunchy and good. Very cool that they make American and Mexican. My wife had Mexican while I had American food. Will stop by again when in town
Exactly what you'd expect: good burgers at a good price. This place hasn't changed in a million years. The meat is seasoned well, the fries are salted, the lettuce is crunchy. It's just a solid spot. P.S. don't forget the fry sauce. Would recommend. Will return.
