Got the falafel pita with no dairy + fries. Fries were flat?? And so good?? I will dream of those crispy suckers forever more. Folks working the counter were very kind. Food was pretty quick and tasted fresh! 1 Vegan and 1 gluten free in our group and we could all eat here!
When I was a teenager, I had the opportunity to visit the middle east. At the time, I was somewhat of a picky eater, and I didn't enjoy most of the food that was available. Then, somewhere along the way, I was introduced to falafel. It was pitched to me as "their equivalent to a burger," I tried one and it was a game changer. It blew my mind how good it was, and I couldn't eat enough of it after. When I tried falafel back in the States, it was a mixed experience, sometimes better than others. Many times, it was served to to me as a hard, dry, brown ball that tasted like cardboard. Falafel Republic was not that. This falafel is very reminiscent of that first taste I had. It's big, moist, well fried, and GREEN on the inside. THIS is what falafel is supposed to be like. I got the pita, and it was served up the way I had in my middle east--stuffed to the gills with falafel, veggies and sauces. So good. The staff were very friendly, and the restaurant was clean. I can't speak to their other dishes, but the falafel was fantastic, I would highly recommend.
Service is always good, but they are odd about my request to purchase sides of tzatziki sauce. I always want a large side of it or extra and am completely willing to pay, but seems extraordinary or unusual so I just get the tiny little side cup for $2.50. But would really like to be able to buy the larger cup or 2 smaller ones and just charge me, like I ask
I have eaten here a couple of times with multiple other people and we’ve all loved the food. Every element that is combined into pita sandwiches, bowls or rice plates is fresh and absolutely delishous! I have been burned by so many hard and dry falafel elsewhere, but here they are crunchy, with an herby moist interior. Perfect! My only regret is that there isn’t a Falafel Republic in my town. This place an absolute gem!
So good and quick! Perfect spot to stop for food on a road trip driving through. How’s he feeling fresh and much better than any fast food but in and out in the same amount of time.
