We were really looking forward to going to Greenleaf after a lovely Shakespeare play, but were very disappointed. The food was pretty good, but the service was horrible! It took forever to get waited on, nobody ever checked back to see how we were doing & we had to wait so long for a check that we almost left! We will not return nor recommend.
This is our favorite place! Anything we’ve ever ordered is delicious. You can tell they use high quality ingredients and everything is prepared with care. The steak and eggs is the best! Everything on the plate is hot, eggs done perfectly every time, their execution is spot on, and that’s not easy to do. My favorite part about this place though, is the service. Not only a well-oiled machine that clearly operates under hard-working management, but every single employee is so lovely and gracious. They are accommodating and kind, and let you want for nothing. Thank you, Greenleaf! See you soon!
Green leaf is a place you get excited about the minute you walk in the door and see the big chalk board with some of their featured items. On this day, I saw the salmon chowder and I could barely focus on any other items on the board. OK, cheesecake caught a glance, but I was chowder focused even after we were seated. My husband and I visit our grown daughter in Ashland annually and she always insists on Greenleaf. Today, she and I shared the short rib French dip sandwich, as well as an order of upgraded Gorgonzola cheese fries loaded with green onions. I also got my dream item of a cup of salmon chowder. My husband stuck with a bowl of clam chowder. Both chowders came with delicious crusty toasted bread. My daughter and I also got a pint of blood orange mimosas. I know why the short rib French dip is my favorite. The bread was so soft and pillowy and absolutely slugged up the au jus. The melty cheese had a fantastic pull and for a moment, I totally forgot about the chowder. It was THAT wonderful. After polishing off my half sandwich and a few of my fries (also delicious BTW), I realized I still had a generous cup of chowder and it most definitely didn’t disappoint. My husband loved his clam chowder and to serve the bread with the soup was a fantastic choice. I was unable to eat all of the soup after polishing off the sandwich, so my husband came to the rescue. Our service was over the top wonderful, and the whole vibe of Greenleaf is top notch. When we return to visit next year, you can bet your tushy we will be returning to Greenleaf.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Greenleaf Restaurant. We were seated in their great outdoor setting. We had chicken capers with a delicious colorful summer squash side dish and creamy fettuccine alfredo with blackened chicken. The servers were very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.
We came in for breakfast on a whim and unexpectedly had the most incredible meal. I had the Eggs Florentine and I was blown away. The hollandaise was perfection and the grilled tomatoes made it last-meal worthy. My husband got the steak and eggs and it was equally superb. Portions were super generous, prices fair, and the coffee was excellent. This will be our new breakfast go-to, especially for out of town guests.
