Hard to find things to say others haven’t covered, but our meal here was legitimately excellent and we’ve been thinking about it for weeks since. My wife and I did the prix fixe meal. We each got different options to try. Salads were both fresh and tasty. Fried chicken and meatloaf were both amazing. I was reluctant to spend so much on meatloaf, but it was unquestionably one of the best dinners I’ve had at a restaurant. The butter cake with lemon curd was exceptional. It matched my pallet perfectly and it was one of my favorite desserts ever. I was completely full but couldn’t stop eating it. My stomach hurt the entire Shakespeare show after from overeating but I have zero regrets. My only issues were the noise level is high and service is very slow. The speed is intentional to allow you a relaxing meal, but it was slightly stressful with the show time fast approaching. If you are going in the summer, get a reservation.

Enjoyed a Thanksgiving Dinner at this quaint restaurant attached to the hotel we were staying at. They were booked solid, but the hostess was gracious enough to move up our dinner reservation for our requested earlier time. They didn’t offer a traditional Turkey dinner, the ballroom offered that earlier, but the entrees were great. The pumpkin pie was a bit of a miss, but didn’t subtract from a great evening.

Larks was a nice high-end dinner here in Ashland. It was a lovely atmosphere to have a conversation and enjoy a date night. We enjoyed a steak and a curry dish. The presentation was on point and what you would expect for a higher-end restaurant. The steak was perfectly cooked to order. I recommend going here and trying this out if you're looking for a nicer upscale dinner in the Ashland area.

Update June 2026 - Have had the Caesar a few times over the last year. Never notable and the other night. disappointing. The chicken was fatty and not grilled… like they sliced a breast and tossed it in a fry pan then put it beside one smallish romain heart. No attention to detail in one of the more notable restos in Ashland. Strike 3! If you want a great Caesar here, go to Brick Room! Update Oct 2025 - tried the Caesar again. Unfortunately again, the chicken was very thin and over cooked. (Would have sent it back but the hubby dislikes when I do that) Strike 2! Previous review: When in Ashland, I head to Lark’s for a phenomenal Caesar salad with grilled chicken. This visit, the dressing was delicious. The small grilled chicken breast, however, was thin and overcooked. Same on our second salad. As far as the crispy brussels sprouts starter, personal preference. Extremely oily. While the creamy goat cheese was good, chef could choose a brighter and tarter tasting goat cheese to offset the unctuousness of the sprouts. When paying higher prices, I expect more overall. Perhaps it was an off night for the busy restaurant. The main dishes coming out of the kitchen looked fabulous, but attention needs to be paid to grilled chicken added to salads. A lovely by-the-glass Cava for $10!

Absolutely outstanding dining experience at Larks in Ashland! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Everything about the evening was perfect. I started with the beet salad, which was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The pan-seared salmon was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and flaky inside. The wine selection was excellent, with great local options that paired wonderfully with the meal. Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and inviting. This was truly a five-star experience from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dinner in Ashland!
