A great little shop with excellent bagels, cream cheese, and numerous toppings including many veggies and a gluten free bagel. There are several different drinks, water, and coffee on offer as well. Hours are from 7 am to 2 pm so they are limited, but it is definitely worth a (or several) visits. The people behind the counter are friendly and seem to enjoy their job. Lots of Grateful Dead posters are on display. Come check out Jerry.
While staying in Ashland, I was out walking and I found this gem of a restaurant. Tucked away in the back of the shopping plaza and up the hill is Little Shop of Bagels. This place has plenty of seating for a small restaurant, self serve coffee station, and great selection. I had the Turkey Melt bagel on a Cheese bagel, and it was Delish! The cheese was melted and hot, tomato was crunchy, and the bagel was soft like any NY bagel should be. While waiting in line, everyone was friendly and raving about the quality ingredients. I have to say, everything was fresh and tasty. Next time I am in town, I will definitely be back!
We stopped in on our way back from California heading to Washington. Found this place online and am happy we did. This was one of the best bagels I've ever had. The fresh alphafa sprouts along with the avocados were such a game changer for this bagel!
Had high expectations for this place, that was my fault, durring these times we all need to lower our expectations. Got a bad vibe as soon as I walked in. Prices seemed too high, bagels looked too small. After seeing the price of their lox and bagels ($8+) I decided to buy a 1/2 dozen to-go and make my own at home. The best thing I can say and maybe the most important is that the bagels are real, good skin and chew, not some fake bread-like bagels. The everything bagels were nice even if most of the topping fell off when I cut them. 7 weeks of smoke here in Ashland has made me extra critical. Being the chimney of California is a real drag. I was going to give a 2 star review but that's just my raw emotions. We are all in this together as they keep telling us from their mansions and yachts so my honest impression is that they have real bagels here, prices are high like everywhere and we need to lower our expectations and give eachother a break.
I just love this place! The owner is amazingly friendly and the product they serve is made with high-quality, mostly organic ingredients. Their prices are very reasonable and it is excellent for dine in or takeout. The takeout tip, you can call in your order ahead of time and have it ready for you when you arrive.
