We are definitely a pizza family. We love trying new pizza places and appreciate when by the slice is available. I'm not a huge red sauce fan so I was happy to see other options available and no fee for substitution to a day different sauce. Loved the vegetarian options available. Quality incredents. Crust is a little thinner than our preference but it was still really good.
This pizza place slaps! It is NY style pizza and it is perfect. Thin, crispy, not too much or too little cheese - just bullseye - hits the spot. The $5 slices we ordered were large and satisfying. The tables are first come, first serve here and you bus your own dishes. We stop in here every time we visit Ashland and it never disappoints.
Been coming here for over 20 years because they consistently have THE BEST pie ANYWHERE! One of the LAST places where they still spin that beautiful fluffy crust in the air the old-fashioned way.....and it tastes like heaven......topped only by a PERFECT sauce that leaves you wonderfully satisfied and never needing an antacid later. My only complaint is that I never get to come here enough! By the slice or by the pie....Martolli's ROCKS!
The bbq brisket combo pizza was great. I also got the veggie pizza but was no where near as good as the combo slice. Crispy and crunchy and thin and tasty.... This is a great place.
Great pizza, edging a Queens NY slice, what does that mean? We'll there are standards people, let's not slide into barbarism just yet. Well being NY Queens raised, I'd say the pizza over all is drier than a Queens slice, doesn't have that grease inundated from the custom meats and baked cheese layer. There is a totality greater than the sum of its parts that makes a Queen's slice melt in ye mouth. Overall a delicious choice with ye standard beers on tap, gluten free and great salad options. I'd say the service stands out, cheers to the workers making the magic happen.
