Food is not their forte, but fun is definitely on the menu! My husband and I had a great time during their Thursday Trivia night. We placed second, and we plan to attend their trivia night this upcoming Thursday. We sat at the bar.
This place was my first experience in Oregon. I came here on a Sunday night after driving about 13 hours straight, and was not fully coherent. The bartender here took pity on me and hooked me up with beer, pizza, and encouraging words. The atmosphere was relatively laid back, and people were happy to engage in conversation or leave you alone; whatever you indicated. I now live on the opposite side of the country, but really want to come back here.
A patron kept repeating racial slurs and the staff did nothing about it. Ipub has established itself as unsafe and uncaring about the wellbeing of its patrons of colour. Ashland prides itself on being a desired location for travel/tourism and is well known for theatre. These theatres have been making efforts to expand diversity and inclusivity but this town as a whole needs be held accountable for how unsafe it remains for queer people and people of colour. The staff at Ipub should never allow behaviour like that to go unchecked and unpunished and it is incredibly unacceptable that they did. Do better ipub. Do better Ashland.
My favorite place to get a good beer, play pool and old school Pac-Man/Frogger games. Bartenders are super friendly and the clientele are awesome. One guy comes in with his beautiful pitbull and another with his African macaw parrot. Very very fun place.
A real dive bar/Irish pub in downtown Ashland?!😱 Great blast-from-the-past! Guinness and Harp on tap (Always). Sooo much Jameson's in here. Pool tables for 75 cents. They have foosball too but it's the kind with three keepers not one. Nothing fancy or boutique here folks. They can cook you a Papa Murphy's pizza though while you watch a game and chat with your mates over a Guinness. 👍🏼 BTW, the gal bartending was awesome!
