The portions are large and tasty. Lots of vegetarian options. We were two women dining before the theater and the service we received wasn’t great. No drink menu, didn’t come to take our order without us calling him over and didn’t check in us. The restaurant was not busy so no excuse!

The Taj has some exquisite food. Head chef is a seasoned professional -- everything the way it's meant to be. 👌 That said, if you're not tasting everything with the mint-cilantro sauce, you're only getting a partial experience (almost nobody knows about it). I prefer to come for the lunch buffet: Greens, rice, fresh fruit, 3 perfect chicken dishes, multiple curries, veg options (chef's choice of green beans, or darkly divine spinach). Lots of Indian restaurants springing up in the area lately (3 off the top of my head) but The Taj is the original, and for whatever reason, experience matters. None that I've tasted so far get it right like Taj. By local standards, this is 5 star Indian food. If you're new to the Indian palate, go to the buffet and learn how the flavors combine for the divine experience. Don't forget the Mint sauce! And leave the fruit alone until dessert!

Dined in for lunch and the buffet was a nice way to get some good food in a timely manor. The butter chicken is very good and tastes like a classic one or at least similar to others I’ve had many times around in California. I wouldn’t say in general this is the best Indian food I’ve ever had but it sure is far from the worst! The service dining in was fantastic, very nice guys

Taj offers an excellent lunch buffet and a pleasant, inviting dining atmosphere. The food is organic, and tastes fresh and authentic. I would recommend their buffet over the buffet at Ashland's House of India restaurant any day. The naan bread is delicious, and their gluten free options are good. I've eaten at Taj many times will keep coming back.

I have been here a few times. They use quality ingredients and there are many options for the lunch buffet. My only complaint the last time I went here on 4/25 was the quality of the Tandoori chicken. The Tandoori chicken was super dry and lacked the traditional red color I have seen at other Indian restaurants. The atmosphere seems mid-upscale and the classic Indian decorations are nice to see.
