We got carnitas and al pastor burritos, as well as a torta with fries. Food came quickly and was very good. You pay at the counter before getting your food, and there is an optional tip jar for cash tips. Highly recommend!
Smallest burrito 12 dollars has bought me never again. It had a single line of steak across the burrito and it was smaller than my hand. The taste was good but i cant imagine being hungry and getting thials burrrito and thinking you will be good and you pick it up and its tiny. I tried reaching out to see if it was a mistake and got a childs meal burrito but they just ignored me. I dont know it what reality we started paying 12 dollars for a tiny burrito but i guess in ashland. But burrito republic is huge and simple cafe if decent for a similar price.
I came here expecting a good meal, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The restaurant is self-service—you order at the register and wait for your number to be called—which is perfectly acceptable if the food justifies it. In this case, it didn't. The food was incredibly basic, with very little flavor or anything that stood out. Honestly, I've had more satisfying burritos from Chipotle, which isn't a comparison I'd expect to make at a local Mexican restaurant. The biggest surprise was the price. A simple meat burrito and a meat quesadilla came to **$36**, and that didn't even include chips. For that cost, I expected much better quality, larger portions, or at least a few extras. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Mexican food, I'd recommend Puerto Mazatlan or El Paraiso instead. They offer a much better experience and significantly better value. This meal felt more like cafeteria-style Mexican food than something you'd expect from a restaurant.
Great food and service. The Purist margarita is excellent. Tacos al carbon, chips and superb guacamole all at a very reasonable price. We will be back soon!
There are certainly plenty of things to like about this place, and Mexican food is always good. The choice of salsas is great and the service is friendly and quick. We enjoyed our food, but I found the chicken in my burrito to be a little under seasoned. I would go back if I were near by, but this wouldn't be my first stop for a burrito.
