Beautiful outdoor seating! Nice menu with unique offerings. My teen had the Tiger Rolls for an appetizer and said “this is lovely”, then promptly gobbled them all down. For a main course my teen had the Thai Style Fried Rice and enjoyed it. My spouse had Pad Thai with prawns and would recommend. I had the Char Grilled Tofu with peanut sauce, I love tofu and this was a fun and spicy meal. The side of pickled cucumbers complimented the spicy peanut sauce. I am happy I have leftovers in the fridge as this was a nice vegetarian option.
I will not be coming back to this restaurant ever again. They have no accommodations for the elderly or handicapped. The waiter pads the bill so he could get more of a tip. No sugar substitute in the building. I am a diabetic and I have to limit my carb intake. I have lived in the Rogue Valley most of my life and I have never been to this restaurant and I won't be coming back. When we left on a Saturday night at 7:30 pm there was no one in the dining room. That should tell you something. I don't think they want repeat business. Very unhappy with the whole evening. Oh...get an elevator. My Mother almost passed out from all the stairs. I don't care if it is a historical building.
To start the service here was awesome! The servers were attentive and easy to find. My wife has a food allergy and they clearly helped us navigate the menu and daily specials to find items that she could eat. We were able to order and get our meals cooked quickly which was very surprising and appreciative. The food here was great too! A bit pricey but they had a large quantity of gluten free and dairy free options which is hard to come by. The only negative is that they aren't open longer! Hopefully that will change.
Great to see the quality has not gone down after so many years. Took an out of town guest here and he loved it. Expensive, but very well done. Just came for a birthday celebration and the service and food were excellent. The patio closest to North Main Street is wonderful. One of very few places with a separate vegetarian menu.
The worst pad thai ever. I have traveled the world, and always enjoy trying whatever that particular countries version of the Thai classic is. From "street-food" in Bangkok, to 5-Star Beverly Hills, pad thai is simply one of m'fave food dishes. Yet this mess was SO soggy & tasteless, (after waiting in a half-empty restaurant for 30 minutes because "the to-go orders have to be prepared first") ... that when it finally arrived, it was almost unrecognizable, no crushed peanut topping, no cilantro garnish, no snappy mung-bean sprouts, and paltry little/bland sauce. I had to dump a bunch of side stuff on it to obtain any flavor at all. The ONLY redeeming aspect is that the generous portion of prawns were plump & tasty. For only that reason, Thai Pepper gets 2-stars rather than 1. Can't say bad/inferior enough words about everything else.
