We ordered two junior scoops, one ice cream and one gelato. Neither were a hit for us. I was surprised two flavors in a large size wasn't an option unless ordering a double scoop because that's pretty standard in our area. The prices are also on the higher side, almost $12 for two junior scoops. The gelato flavor wasn't as intense as the ice cream and the ice cream texture is best described as doughy vs creamy. Pluses - wide variety with sorbet, gelato, and ice cream options. Very nice staff and a cute location.
I’ve usually liked this place but went in a few days ago and was disappointed. They didn’t have any fruity or tangy summer flavors at all. The rainbow geleto didn’t have much flavor. And the raspberry cheesecake was extremely sweet but without cheesecake flavor and raspberry could have had more zest.
A few weeks ago I went in to get a milkshake and was told by the girl behind the counter they were not making shakes anymore because they had cleaned the blender. It was an hour before closing. A little disappointed I ordered something else and moved on. This happened a second time a couple weeks ago. Then this evening I checked to see what time they close before going in to make sure my milkshake request would not get shut down again. They close at midnight. I got there at 9:30. The girl behind the counter casually told my daughter and I (we both wanted shakes )that they were not making shakes because they had already cleaned the blender. I asked her what time they close and she confirmed that they close at midnight. Two and half hours before they close and no shakes? I am guessing the owner is not aware of this. Sometimes you just want a shake, and a scoop isn’t going to cut it. We will just stay home next time or go somewhere else . Pretty disappointing.
Great ice cream and friendly staff! Perfect finish to a stroll through downtown Ashland!
Can’t even believe how dirty the ice cream freezers were. Although the employees were nice and the ice cream selection was awesome I couldn’t get past how much frost and ice stuck to the freezer walls and there was more dirty rotting freezer burned ice cream surrounding all the ice cream tubs on the bottom that you couldn’t help but focus on while looking at the flavors. It was pretty gross. I mean. Piles upon piles of old ice cream. Just looked like there’s no pride taken to clean the ice cream on display and it was obvious no one has cleaned it in quite some time. Disappointing in such a cute little town. I’m only giving two stars for each smiling face behind the counter.
